Wim was a young man living in the galaxy at the beginning of the New Republic Era, sharing a house with his father, Wendle, on their planet.

In 9 ABY, Wim came across an ancient starship hidden in the forest near their city.

Along with Neel and two other friends, KB and Fern, they explored the ship, accidentally activating it and getting stuck in space. 

The group then teamed up with the ship's droid, SM-33, and a Force-sensitive individual named Jod Na Nawood, setting out to find their way back home while avoiding a band of pirates.
